UTSA Lyric Theatre performs operas, operettas, and musicals, with a commitment to delivering celebrated standards in the repertoire. With the current performance climate in mind, we also equip our singers for their careers through the study and performance of newly published works, often those completed by composers alive today.

No matter their level of study or their major, UTSA student-artists have the opportunity to audition for Opera on the Run, our touring program that brings opera to area elementary schools.

An important element to the success of our productions is the opportunity for students in various areas of study to gain professional experience through conducting assignments and stage management assignments.
